There are many great recreation options in the Fairfield Bay area for you to enjoy on your next trip to Arkansas. Here are some of our favorites:
Fairfield Bay wraps around the north shore of beautiful Greers Ferry Lake, a 50-mile long, 40,000 acre clean mountain lake with 343 miles of shoreline. These sparkling waters are the perfect playground for fishing, boating, scuba diving, sailing and all kinds of fun in the sun.
Your center for water recreation, our first rate local marinas rent ski boats and skis, party barges, wave-runners, boat slips and houseboats. Sightseeing trips, dinner cruises and even the thrill of parasailing and wakeboarding are as near as your front door.
Sugarloaf Mountain, an island in Greers Ferry Lake, is accessible only by boat and offers visitors a wondrous trail to the summit of this island mountaintop and the chance to grab breathtaking photos of Greers Ferry Lake, the cliffs and lush scenery. The Enchanted Peninsula, located on the shores of Greers Ferry Lake, offers upscale living to those looking to relocate to the area and maintain an active lifestyle and fun in the sun.
In our case, "World-Class Fishing" is fact, not hype. We can back it up with three world-record game fish. Greers Ferry Lake holds world records for Walleye (22 lb 11oz) and Hybrid Striped Bass (27 lb 5 oz). The Little Red River tail water, which feeds into Greers Ferry Lake, holds the current world-record for German Brown Trout (40 lb 4 oz).
Trophy-sized fish are common in our waters. Savvy guides put you "on the fish" in the lake and the river and we have plenty campsites, cabins and resort accommodations, ready and waiting to make your vacation complete.
Fairfield Bay is a golfer's dream come true. We have several championship golf courses in the area including, Indian Hills, Mountain Ranch, and Tannenbaum Golf Resort at nearby Drasco, Arkansas. These courses each provide all the variety and challenge a golfer can hope for. Visitors and homeowners alike can show off and sharpen their golfing skills while enjoying year-round play amidst scenic mountain beauty.
With a Fairfield Bay Golf Getaway, you enjoy not only world-class golfing, but also the assistance of PGA professionals, comfortable accommodations from single rooms to deluxe suites with attentive service, a pleasing variety of eateries and affordable rates.
At times in Fairfield Bay, it seems one sees nearly as many golf carts as automobiles. Just what you'd expect in a golfer's paradise. But if there are non-golfers in your vacation party, other activities abound including: Tennis, Swimming, Fishing, boating on beautiful Greers Ferry Lake, Horseback Riding and Mountain Bike Riding, a community center full of games and activities, shopping galore at Lakewood Village Mall and surrounding shops.
In addition, Woodland Mead Park offers up shuffleboard, volleyball, flag football, miniature golf, horseshoes, and picnics during the summer months.
The Fairfield Bay Community Club's Recreation Department also holds many activities during the summer and winter months at our many recreational facilities such as the Racquet Club which offers live entertainment, full service bar, pool tables and Karaoke on a regular basis for members and guests.
Fairfield Bay also has its very own Bowling Lanes for evening entertainment for the entire family. Keggler Lanes offers bowling leagues, pool tournaments, arcade, and refreshment bar for nightly entertainment for the whole family.
